While working as a volunteer in Nepal, she had time on her hands and spent many hours researching the raw and living foods diet on the internet, gradually adding in as many fresh, live foods to her diet as she could. When she returned to Chicago she couldn't wait to try many of the recipes she discovered, and has been sharing her creations with delighted family and friends ever since.
